This is going to be a really fun year for the boys!!!
They are really going to start being independent in their progress.
Each boy needs to bring his handbook and binder to each meeting.
Den meetings:
General Information
Expectations for each Den meeting and outing
-
Your son will have fun!
-
Your son should wear his full uniform (unless otherwise instructed) and bring Webelos Handbook!
-
Your son will complete at least one activity to move him closer to receiving his Webelos badge at the Blue and Gold banquet in February.
Tracking Progress
Please keep us updated on what is being completed at home. If it is not in the binder it is not complete.
Each month, I will send you a spreadsheet that shows the progress that your son has made toward getting his Webelos badge. NOTE: Remember, the Fitness activity badge (required for the Webelos badge) MUST BE COMPLETED AT HOME!!
Religious Medal Activities
The Webelos Catholic emblem (Parvuli Dei) or complete a host of other faith-based emblems are available for the Bear/Webelo cubs to earn. It's required for Webelo Badge but all work is completed at home, and NOT in den meetings. Your son will display his work at a Pack meeting, and interview with a priest to get his sign-off; the medal will be awarded at a Scout Sunday Mass -February 28, 2010, 12 noon. I would like to schedule the interview with the priest as soon as possible. Please contact Nina if you need the workbook - it is available at the Scout Store or at www.scoutstuff.org
