WOLF MEETING SCHEDULE

 

 

 

October 8 - Theme JUNGLE SAFARI

Gathering - Word Search - Jungle Animals

Opening - Flag Ceremony, Say Pledge 2a, 2b 

     - Roll Call with Jungle Animal

     - Animal Clue Game - Each boy to listen for his animal

Business - Discuss Theme - Cooperation in the Jungle

Activity - Create Jungle Scene - Cooperate to each contribute to the poster

     -Each boy to color jungle animal to add to poster

     -Each boy to add to Jungle Scenery of poster

     -Read the story of Akela and Mowgli

Closing     - Old Akela Had a Zoo

 

October 15 - Theme JUNGLE SAFARI

TO BE DONE AT HOME - Achievement 7a, 7b, 7e

Gathering -

Opening - Roll call - boys say their favorite jungle animal and why

               - Share Collections

Business - go over Immediate Recognition Beads

               - work on Achievement 7c, 7d, 7f

 

Achievement 6b - start a collection and present it - boys can bring this to any meeting once they have something to share!

 

November 5 - Theme Cub Scout Salute

Gathering - Raise Flag - outside/school flagpole -(snack)

Opening -  Semicircle around flag - Pledge of Allegiance

Business - discuss meaning and importance of U.S. Flag

Activity - Feats of Skill Achievement 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1g

                                   TO BE DONE AT HOME  - Achievement 1a - Play catch with someone 10 steps away.

                                                                                                         Play until you can throw and catch

                                                                           Please emphasize - DO YOUR BEST -

                 " Its a secret activity" -  Elective 1

November 19

Food Pyramid - Menu    Achievement 8a, 8b

December 3 

Gathering - Make a drawing.  Elective 12a (page 168)

Opening-Denner (to be picked) - leads Flag Ceremony. Sing The Star Spangled Banner  Elective 11b

                                               - anyone may share their collection at this time

Business - Discuss activities for month - December 5th - Home Depot 9 - 12 am - Workshop -build a wagon 

                                                           (if you cannot make this one, Home Depot has one the first Saturday of each month)

                                                            December 14th - Pack Meeting/Christmas Party - each boy will bring a gift - details will follow

                                                            December 19th - Caroling at Stella Maris Time TBD

NOTE:  Wolves may work on any beltloop they would like.  We will do some as a den, but these are activities the boys may accomplish at their own pace

LIGHT OF CHRIST  

This is the religious emblem that can be earned by 6-7 year olds.  It is optional and though it cannot be completed in the Den Meetings, follows very closely with the preparation for First Eucharist.  Following is the link that explains the requirements - if interested please let me know and I can get the booklet for you!

Meet at Bernhardt's and be ready to leave at 10am

Tour will be from 11a-12p

Please have snack before tour - There is not a place to have lunch there, but if anyone is interested in going out for lunch please let me know.

I need 4 parents to go with me if possible - all (including siblings) are welcome!

Admission : FREE
